I went to this place before leaving Angel Fire after a weekend of skiing. It was around 10 so I asked if they still served breakfast. The guy at the counter said yes, so I ordered a breakfast sandwich and an orange juice. After getting the rest of our 4 groups order, which included a muffin, lunch sandwich and coffee, he just stood there. I said, do I get the Orange juice myself? Since the refrigerator is behind the counter. He said, oh right, and handed it to me. We sit down and wait for our food. He brings out the muffin and lunch sandwich and asks if we needed anything else. So I said yes...... We ordered a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Then he said, oh, we're not serving breakfast any more. By this time I was already getting frustrated and said ok.... I'll take a lunch sandwich and we still need our coffee. By then, there's 2 more people that walk in to order, which brings the total customer count to 6 including us. There's 3 people running the joint, the guy at the counter and 2 people in the kitchen. 20 minutes later, I go up to the counter and ask him where the freakin sandwich and coffee is? And he said oh... I don't know... So I said, "really?! Give me a refund. Right now. This is stupid". And I hear a woman in the kitchen saying "really! Really!" Mocking me. Absolute garbage place run by dumb, incompetent bung holes. Eat ANYWHERE but this place. You've been warned.

Small little shop next to Mountain Sports and Lowe's market, below Angel Fired Pizza, this place has charming food and service that borders on rude. Apparently the fun breakfast options, inclusive of sticky buns, and the great sandwiches including a nearly to die for Reuben make it so popular that they do not need to add a morsel of friendliness in their service. Despite that we went back three times in a week. But if we ever find equal food at an equal price w more congenial service... We'd opt for that and until then will just pretend we r in NYC.

Was here a couple of weeks ago. Friendly, slightly gruff staff and good counter service, even though the person at the counter was new and still learning. This is a simple place to eat with no bells or whistles, but decent coffee, tasty baked goods, and nice savories (I had the sausage breakfast burrito, which was AOK). No pretense or fanciness, just honest food. Definitely worth a stop to pick up to go, do some work on your laptop, or have lunch.

This review is for breakfast although I have eaten here for lunch and breakfast a couple of times previously. My wife and I both ordered the Skillet Breakfast with green chile added. Our order was ready in a short time. The plate was on the small side but it was filled with the Skillet Breakfast which is a loaded scramble with a side of wheat toast. The scramble was packed with bacon, sausage, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper and green chile. The skillet could have used a little more hash browns but that,s a minor issue. As I said, plate was on the small side but piled with food so I did not go away hungry. Picked up a caramel latte on the way out. Every bit as good as most Starbucks I've had. Although our breakfast was served in a timely manner I would not go here if I were in a hurry. There was a customer (a local based on the AF Staff shirt she was wearing) that placed a to-go order shortly after us that was still waiting when we finished. I'm not sure of the size of the order, but the kitchen staff did come out front briefly to chat with another customer while she was waiting. Sign on the window says they have wifi but I wasn't able to find a network and wasn't concerned enough to ask about it. 2 Skillet Breakfasts with green chile $22 1 medium caramel latte $4.50

I can't say I disagree with any of the other reviews. After my wife read the two reviews available on this place I made a judgement call and decided to have breakfast there with her regardless of what the previous reviews had to say. That was a HUGE mistake. We were short on time and it was convenient because we were in the area. We would have been better off going to Lowe's Market and getting everything we needed for a breakfast, then making our own breakfast at the condo. It's not like I ordered anything difficult. I got the 2 eggs and a meat. This is two scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. Served with a side of hash browns. My wife got pancakes. The eggs were ok, the sausage ok; but the hash browns were terrible. My wife thought the pancakes were ok. I think what turned me off to this place the most was the staff. One of the first things I look for when I walk into a small place like this is, how many happy faces do I see. There were 10 people already there when we walked in. Nobody looked happy. I saw multiple warnings signs as I waited in line to order. I should have acted on them and left. Don't make the same mistake I made.

I've eaten here several times and the last 3 times I got the same thing: egg sandwich with an over easy egg- at least that was the plan. First two time is was really good. The 3rd time she refused to make it. I didn't really even know what to say to that so I paid for an egg sandwich with scrambled eggs- which was vile and disgusting and I threw 1/2 of it away (the others were good enough to keep me coming in, obviously) then the woman went back to the table next to me to complain about everything under the sun to some friends. I was really shocked. Had it been a teenager, that'd be one thing but a grown woman?? While this place is over priced, you can get good breakfast here- assuming it's not too much trouble for the cook to actually make it. The best tip I can give is that there's a bakery next to Salon 434 that has a wonderful breakfast selection.
